Project Manager - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer and supervise day-to-day Hotel construction progress.
- Serve as liaison between the Authority and architects, contractors, engineers and other persons or agencies in the administration of project.
- Maintain records and provide the Senior Director of Operations and Special Projects with weekly status reports of the project.
- Monitor cost and performance of work associated with the Hotel project.
- Review all contractor payment applications for project, maintain records and make recommendations to the Hotel Project and Senior Director of Operations and Special Projects regarding payment of associated invoices and payment applications.
- Coordinate owner’s inspections of Hotel including final inspections and commissioning.
- Catalogue and maintain all project-related documents.
- Participate in weekly departmental meetings as required.
- Participate in and/or facilitate industry-related training.
- Catalogue and maintain all departmental operations and maintenance manuals, to include incorporating additions and revisions, and removing deletions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
- Ability to prioritize tasks & to manage workload using own initiative.
- Ability to multi-task & work under pressure with limited resources.
- High degree of integrity and compliance.
- Ability to build and maintain customer focused relationships with internal and external customers.
- Ability to manage budgets and drive profitability.
- Research and interpret relevant information from a range of sources.
- Use appropriate technology to find and process information, while continuously looking for innovative ways to enhance team and individual performance.
- Ability to work an irregular work schedule as required to perform duties and responsibilities.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Ten (10) years’ experience in commercial construction or similar field, demonstrating project management responsibilities.
- Valid Georgia driver’s license.
- Able to work an irregular work schedule as required to perform duties and responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture, Building Construction, Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Experience working for a multi-purpose facility servicing major exhibition, entertainment or meeting oriented events preferred.
