Construction Scheduler
Job Description
- Periodic Progress Updates: Conduct updates for schedules in progress by gathering necessary data from various sources, such as Project Managers, Superintendents, Owners' Representatives, and subcontractors. All update data must be approved by the Project Manager before being incorporated into the schedule.
- Schedule Baseline Maintenance: Maintain project schedule baselines according to company policy and any additional contractual requirements.
- Performance Reporting: Generate project-specific performance reports as well as standard company reports, including Critical Activities Reports, Baseline Deviation Reports, Earned Value Performance Index Reports, and Project Cash Flow Reports.
- Cost and Resource Loading: Ensure all schedules are loaded with cost and resource data, including project staff metrics and general conditions. Updates may be required during the periodic progress update process.
- Network Logic Analysis and Validation: Perform ongoing analysis and validation of network logic to ensure it aligns with project team intent and standard guidelines. Remove unnecessary dependencies that could affect total float calculations and project criticality.
- Monthly Schedule Reporting: Assist in preparing required monthly schedule reports and contribute to drafting the Monthly Schedule Narrative.
- Schedule Development: Collaboratively develop schedules from scratch for both proposals and active construction projects.
- A four-year degree in Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- Proven experience with the Primavera P-6 scheduling management system.
- Preferably, experience in project management for a general contractor.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and Outlook, with a willingness to continually update skills.
- Familiarity with BIM and its application to scheduling and sequencing is a plus.
