Job Description
- Apply knowledge of standards, systems, document control, applicable codes, and company policies while reviewing project requirements to determine the correct format and contents of required deliverables.
- Apply foundational engineering principles and established design practices to create moderately complex design concepts, solutions, technical documentation, drawings, and project deliverables utilizing digital tools and CAD software.
- Perform design calculations, detailed material quantities, estimates, and records while coordinating with other design group personnel to review and exchange project information necessary for design development.
- Proactively apply quality programs to deliverables, ensuring personal accuracy, compliance with codes and standards, and consistency across project outputs.
- Typically a minimum of 5 years of related work experience.
- Relevant coursework in civil engineering principles, site development, and design practices.
- Associate’s degree or relevant technical certification in Civil Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Demonstrated experience supporting engineering and design teams by developing and modifying technical deliverables, performing design calculations, and coordinating project information.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D and Bentley MicroStation.
- Strong communication, technical problem-solving, collaboration, and attention to detail.
