Sterling Engineering is looking for a Survey Technician in Williamsport, PA. This opportunity is with a growing engineering team supporting natural gas infrastructure projects.

Job Duties:
  • Support soil erosion and construction inspections for natural gas main replacement projects.
  • Perform topographic surveying and field data collection using GPS equipment.
  • Travel to project sites (up to 2–3 hours) with occasional overnight stays as needed.
  • Work extended field hours when required and support office work between field assignments.
  • Maintain safety compliance and proper use of required PPE.
  • Assist with drafting and design activities when applicable.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of relevant field or office experience.
  • Topographic surveying experience required.
  • Familiarity with GPS surveying equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and travel regularly to project sites.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures in field environments.
  • Drafting certification or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Certified or willing to become a SESC Field Inspector.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD preferred.
