Civil Engineer
Job Description
- Commercial and residential developments or additions
- Solar and other energy markets
- Educational and religious institutions
- Assessments of existing commercial sites
- Site and roadway infrastructure improvements
- Additional civil-related projects
- Key responsibilities also include coordinating and conducting site inspections and observations as required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in civil site design or municipal projects
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license or ability to obtain P.E.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation
- Experience with HydroCAD, StormCAD, and/or Pondpack, along with preparing hydraulic reports
- Successful permitting experience with agencies such as MWRD, IDNR, USACE, IEPA, IDOT, and other municipal or state entities
- Familiarity with IAC, ADA, and related building design requirements
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Self-motivated with strong attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
