- Develop transmission line designs for projects ranging from 69 kV through 500 kV.
- Prepare line routing, structure selection, foundation design, conductor and hardware selection, and plan & profile drawings.
- Perform engineering calculations, data analysis, and detailed transmission line studies.
- Coordinate design packages with engineering and design teams.
- Review vendor drawings, equipment specifications, and test reports.
- Support estimating, procurement, proposals, and construction activities.
- Participate in QA/QC reviews and verify construction complies with engineering designs.
- Assist with resolving field issues and unexpected site conditions.
- Support preparation of fabrication and construction packages.
- Collaborate with clients, engineers, designers, and construction teams throughout project execution.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
- Experience designing high-voltage transmission line projects.
- Working knowledge of transmission and distribution engineering principles.
- Familiarity with NESC requirements and ASCE Transmission Structure Design standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- 2+ years of transmission line design experience.
- Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
- EIT certification preferred with the desire to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- 4+ years of transmission line design experience.
- Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
