  • Engineer II: $84,100 – $113,500
  • Engineer III (Non-PE): $98,800 – $133,300

About the Opportunity
Our client is seeking an Engineer II or Engineer III – Transmission Line to support high-voltage transmission projects up to 500 kV. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex transmission line projects from initial design through construction support while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams. Candidates will be considered at either the Engineer II or Engineer III level based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop transmission line designs for projects ranging from 69 kV through 500 kV.
  • Prepare line routing, structure selection, foundation design, conductor and hardware selection, and plan & profile drawings.
  • Perform engineering calculations, data analysis, and detailed transmission line studies.
  • Coordinate design packages with engineering and design teams.
  • Review vendor drawings, equipment specifications, and test reports.
  • Support estimating, procurement, proposals, and construction activities.
  • Participate in QA/QC reviews and verify construction complies with engineering designs.
  • Assist with resolving field issues and unexpected site conditions.
  • Support preparation of fabrication and construction packages.
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, designers, and construction teams throughout project execution.
Qualifications / Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Experience designing high-voltage transmission line projects.
  • Working knowledge of transmission and distribution engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with NESC requirements and ASCE Transmission Structure Design standards.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 10%.
Engineer II
  • 2+ years of transmission line design experience.
  • Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
  • EIT certification preferred with the desire to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
Engineer III
  • 4+ years of transmission line design experience.
  • Experience using PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
