Job Description

Title: Chemical Lab Supervisor (refinery, oil & gas, chemical or wastewater)
Location: Lemont, IL – 100% onsite
 

Job Summary:
  • Lead employees within the Gas Chromatograph (GC) and Chemical labs
  • Responsible for oversight and coordination of testing of samples in GC, Chem, and Instrument labs for performing required EPA wet chemistry analysis, oil analysis, and GC and other microanalysis of hydrocarbon and gas samples.
  • Develop solutions to technical problems associated with lab equipment/testing.
  • Train/manage employees
  • Provide analytical support to personnel
  • Perform safety meetings/training
  • Handle all tracking and reporting in Laboratory EPA QA/QC


Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of experience required.
  • Must have 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in related role.
  • Experience working in a chemical plant/manufacturing, refinery, oil & gas, or testing lab industry
  • Lab testing in gasoline, diesel, petrochemicals, wastewater, etc.
  • Using, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex analytical equipment
  • Supervisory experience is a plus
