Job Title: Centerless Grinder Specialist
Location: Remote with 50–75% travel across North America
Compensation: $80k - $90k 

About the Role:
We are seeking a hands-on technical expert to join our team as a Centerless Grinder Process Development & Customer Training Specialist. In this customer-facing field service role, you will play a key role in supporting industrial manufacturing clients—including aerospace fastener producers, bar grinding service providers, and contract manufacturers—by ensuring successful equipment setup, process development, training, and ongoing support.

Responsibilities:
  • Review part prints and tooling requirements for process development.
  • Set up and operate Cincinnati Centerless Grinders for customer machine qualifications.
  • Travel to customer facilities to provide machine startup assistance and operational training.
  • Deliver on-site and remote support for application-specific grinding needs.
  • Train customers in machine setup, operation, and best practices.
  • Advise on optimizing cycle times, process stability, and machine capabilities.
  • Represent Allways Precision and promote our full portfolio of services and support.
  • Coordinate and manage personal monthly travel and service schedules.

Technical Skills Required:
  • Proficient in Cincinnati Centerless Grinder setup and operation (thru-feed and in-feed).
  • Strong understanding of centerless grinding theory and shop floor processes.
  • Experience with machine shop equipment and general mechanical aptitude.
  • Familiarity with grinding automation such as gantry loaders and bowl feeders.
  • Working knowledge of servo motors, CNC controls, and HMI interfaces.
  • Capable of instructing and teaching machine operation and process control.

Customer Engagement & Travel Requirements:
  • Travel up to 75% to customer locations across North America.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for on-site support and follow-ups.
  • Comfortable presenting and promoting technical solutions and services.
  • Confident interpreting engineering drawings and discussing Cpk and tolerance-related topics.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to independently plan and execute monthly schedules.
