Job Title:  Calibration Technician (Analytical Instruments)
Location:  North Chicago, IL
Hire Type:  Long-term Contract, Onsite
Target Pay Rate:  $33.00/hour (W2, with full employee benefits)

Job Summary: 
The Calibration Technician will ensure accurate calibrations for various analytical instruments used to identify and measure chemical and pharmaceutical substances.  Instruments may include: Gas Chromatography (GC), High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Mass Spectrometry, pH Meters, Thermal Analyzers, and related instruments.

Job Duties:
  • Perform calibrations on products and instruments.
  • Identify measurement errors and calculate uncertainties.
  • Prepare detailed calibration reports.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to resolve technical issues.
  • Assist with measurement and traceability questions.

Qualifications:
  • At least 2+ years of Metrology and/or Calibration experience is needed.
  • Knowledge of measurement practices and quality systems (ISO 17025, ANSI/Z540-1).
  • Experience calibrating analytical instruments (chromatography, spectroscopy, etc.)
  • Analytical skills for interpreting schematics and calibration procedures.
  • Excellent communication and team skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
