Compensation: $40-45/hr

Must have Skill Set

  • 5+ years of calibration, metrology, or laboratory equipment management experience
  • Experience with CMMS or asset management systems (Maximo or similar)
  • Background in a regulated manufacturing environment (medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, etc.)
  • Knowledge of FDA, ISO, cGMP, or other quality and compliance standards

Overview:
Our client, a leading organization in a highly regulated manufacturing environment, is seeking an experienced Calibration Coordinator to oversee laboratory equipment calibration and asset management activities within an R&D setting. This position is responsible for coordinating calibration schedules, preventative maintenance, equipment documentation, vendor activities, and regulatory compliance to ensure laboratory assets remain audit-ready and operating efficiently. 

Job Duties: 

  • Manage the laboratory equipment calibration program, including preventative maintenance scheduling and equipment lifecycle activities.
  • Administer and maintain the organization's computerized asset management system, ensuring equipment records and documentation remain accurate.
  • Coordinate calibration vendors, work orders, equipment installations, transfers, and retirement activities.
  • Support equipment qualification, validation, and documentation while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Facilities, and laboratory teams to resolve calibration issues, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Assist with internal and external audits by ensuring calibration records and equipment documentation are inspection-ready.
  • Identify and implement process improvements related to calibration and asset management programs.
  • Provide guidance to laboratory personnel regarding calibration requirements and equipment compliance.

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in calibration, metrology, laboratory equipment management, or asset management.
  • Experience working with CMMS or computerized asset management systems.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance programs, equipment lifecycle management, and laboratory documentation.
  • Experience supporting regulated manufacturing environments such as medical device, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or similar industries.
  • Familiarity with FDA, ISO, cGMP, or comparable quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project coordination skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
