Job Description
Title: Calibration Coordinator
Location: North Chicago, IL
Hire Type: Long Term Contract, Multi-year
Compensation: $35-45/hr

Must have Skill Set:
- 5+ years of calibration, metrology, laboratory equipment, or asset management experience.
- Experience with Maximo or a similar CMMS/asset management system.
- Knowledge of calibration programs, preventative maintenance, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Experience working within a regulated environment with exposure to cGMP, FDA, ISO, or other quality systems.
Overview:
Job Duties:
- Serve as the primary administrator and subject matter resource for the calibration and asset management system.
- Coordinate calibration schedules, preventative maintenance activities, and related work orders for laboratory and R&D equipment.
- Partner with internal teams and third-party service providers to ensure calibration activities are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain detailed equipment records, asset ownership information, calibration history, and lifecycle documentation.
- Support equipment procurement, installation, transfers, qualification, and retirement activities.
- Develop and maintain calibration specifications, procedures, and supporting documentation.
- Assist with equipment qualification and validation activities as needed.
- Coordinate activities related to CAPAs, NCRs, overdue or delinquent equipment, and non-conformance investigations.
- Support internal audits and regulatory inspections while maintaining compliance with applicable quality and regulatory standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements related to calibration, maintenance, and asset management.
- Provide guidance to laboratory personnel regarding calibration requirements and equipment compliance.
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Quality, Facilities, and laboratory teams to support operational and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in calibration, metrology, laboratory equipment management, asset management, or a related engineering function.
- Experience working with Maximo or another CMMS or computerized asset management system.
- Strong understanding of calibration programs, preventative maintenance, and equipment lifecycle management.
- Experience working in a regulated environment such as pharmaceuticals, medical devices, biotechnology, diagnostics, or regulated manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of cGMP, FDA, ISO, and quality management systems.
- Strong organizational, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
