Job Summary:
The CNC Programmer is responsible for the setup, programming, and operation of CNC equipment, particularly 3-axis vertical mills. The role involves creating programs for cavity block preparation before heat treatment, conducting preventative maintenance on equipment, and operating various secondary equipment.

Job Duties:
  • Set up and operate CNC 3-axis vertical mills.
  • Create programs using Mastercam software for 2D toolpaths to prep cavity blocks before heat treat.
  • Perform monthly preventative maintenance on CNC equipment.
  • Operate cutoff saw, tool grinder, and various secondary equipment.
  • Maintain precision in holding tolerances of +/-.0005".
  • Utilize computer software effectively.
  • Possess problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience operating and programming CNC machines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have own precision tools.
