Hire Type: Contract to hire
Shift:

1st Shift Hours: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Compensation: $20 an hour

Overview:
 The CNC Operator is responsible for writing, modifying, and troubleshooting CNC programs to produce precision steel parts while ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficient machine operation. 

Job Duties:
  • Operates assigned CNC machines including Johnford, Rockford, and Voortman
  • Read / interpret drawings / part specifications and verify / adjust speeds and feeds for optimum machining
  • Make necessary offset changes to be within allowable tolerances
  • Change inserts
  • Verify conformance of part to specifications, using measuring instruments, such as, scales, calipers, micrometers and fixed gauges; Fill out inspection reports as required
  • Clean machined parts to ensure ready for assembly
 
Qualifications:
  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • CNC multi-axis training and experience preferred
  • Minimum 3 to 12 months CNC multi-axis machine operator experience preferred
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to read and write legibly and complete production reports with accuracy
  • Must be able to read and use tape measure
