CNC Machinist ( 2nd Shift)

Job Description
Location: Palatine, IL
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Salary: $27–$33/hr + 10% shift premium
- Setup and operate CNC machines per work instructions
- Perform part inspection using micrometers, calipers, and height gauges
- Deburr and clean parts using belt sanders or drill presses
- Maintain quality and production output in a self-directed environment
- Handle parts ranging from 1 lb. to 50 lbs.
- Enroll in S&C’s Continuous Improvement Institute training as required
- Intermediate: 3+ years of CNC machining and setup experience
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and shop math
- Experience operating and setting up Okuma and Mazak machines
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
- Familiarity with basic inspection tools and metal cutting practices
