Overview: Sterling Engineering / Staffing is currently looking for a CNC Machine Operator for one of our clients in the Alorton, IL area. Target Salary: $21/hr

Job Description:
Operation of a machine in a production shop environment working with steel materials to produce tracks and crossings.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Machine steel parts and rail according to specification
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Use digital calipers to ensure accuracy
  • Operate overhead cranes
  • Complete production reports with accuracy
Qualifications and Experience:
  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months of manufacturing and/or machine operator experience
  • Must be able to read and use tape measure
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Must be quality oriented and a team player
