Building Controls Engineer
Job Description
Location: North Chicago, IL
- Interpret and review control system drawings developed by the controls design team.
- Develop and write programs based on provided designs using internal structured programming standards.
- Support and maintain existing Siemens-based control systems.
- Program and troubleshoot systems including - HVAC systems, VFDs for air handling units, terminal boxes, PLCs, and lab and fume hoods.
- Must follow structured programming methodologies and company standards.
- Note: Lighting systems are not a primary focus for this role.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a field related to Control Systems.
- Must have experience with Siemens building control systems.
- Understanding of HVAC and lab ventilation system controls is preferred.
- Background in control system design is preferred.
- Familiarity with VFDs, terminal box programming, and PLC logic is preferred.
