Job Summary: 
We are actively seeking a dynamic and bilingual Safety Clerk to become an integral part of our Environmental Health, Safety, and Facilities Department. This role involves engaging in the day-to-day operations of the department, including data entry, report generation, and various administrative tasks. By providing essential administrative and clerical support, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our organization.

Job Duties:
  • Conduct safety orientations and training for new personnel, fostering a secure work environment.
  • Prepare and create insightful analyses, reports, charts, tables, and presentations.
  • Monitor attendance for meetings and training sessions, encompassing Safety Committee meetings, Safety Toolbox Talks, and additional safety-related documentation and training activities.
  • Collaborate in executing and documenting Safety and Environmental audits, as well as facilitating walk-around inspections.
  • Exhibit exceptional prioritization skills when managing multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Demonstrate tact and professionalism in interactions with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain organized EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety) files and assist in overseeing compliance tracking and recordkeeping obligations.
  • Research, procure, and manage personnel protective equipment, ensuring comprehensive safety measures.
Qualifications:
  • Core Competencies:
    • Fluent proficiency in Spanish is a mandatory requirement.
    • Aptitude for managing multiple priorities concurrently with finesse.
    • Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Possess excellent organizational capabilities.
  • Qualifications:
    • Minimum requirement of a High School Diploma or GED.
    • Preferred: Completion of two years of college or equivalent relevant work experience.
    • Must hold a valid Illinois Driver's License.
    • Highly desirable: Ability to conduct training for others.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality.
