Automation Technician
Job Description
Pay: Up to $45/hour (Direct Hire)
Employment Type: Direct Hire or Contract-to-Hire
- Support project planning and system readiness before equipment ships
- Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT/SAT preparation)
- Troubleshoot robotic systems and automation equipment
- Assist engineering teams with system testing and project execution
- Commission robotic automation systems at customer facilities
- Troubleshoot and edit existing robot programs (no programming from scratch required)
- Support startups, installations, and customer acceptance testing (SAT)
- Provide technical support while maintaining a professional, customer-focused attitude
- 2+ years of experience working with industrial robots or automated manufacturing equipment
- Experience troubleshooting and editing FANUC robots is highly preferred
- Candidates with ABB, Universal Robots, Yaskawa, or similar robotic platforms are also encouraged to apply
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
- Comfortable working directly with customers during equipment startups
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 40%
- Experience with Cognex or Keyence vision systems (training available if you don't have it)
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment, OEM, or automation company
- Fanuc programming
- No robot programming from scratch required—focus on troubleshooting, editing, commissioning, and support
