Job Description

Title: Automation Technician (PART - TIME HOURS) 

Hourly Pay: $25hr - $32hr (based on experience) 

Location: West Columbia, SC 

Hire Type: Hourly, Part-Time 

Hours/Shift: Friday & Saturdays 7am - 530pm 


Job Duties:
  • Ensure continuous system operation by adjusting, repairing, and replacing automation and robotic components as needed.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to restore functionality.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on robotic systems, process support equipment, and related components.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams, and complex automation system drawings.
  • Utilize power tools and measuring equipment effectively for system maintenance and repairs.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety while performing all tasks.
  • Analyze engineering test results and implement necessary adjustments to enhance system performance.
  • Assist the automation team in qualifying and validating automated systems.
  • Document procedures, test results, and recommendations for system improvements.
  • Keep software, documentation, and equipment updated to the latest revisions and operational specifications.
  • Support engineers in designing and developing hardware and software for automation solutions.
  • Train technicians and operators on equipment, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Experience in automation, robotics, or industrial maintenance.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, electrical systems, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
