Job Description

Maintenance Technician – Automation

Buffalo Grove,IL
12-Hour Rotating Day Shift (6 AM – 6 PM) | 6PM – 6AM
Pay - $25-40/hr
We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support automated assembly, packaging, and printing equipment. You'll handle troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and equipment repairs to ensure safe, efficient production.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  2. Perform routine and preventive maintenance
  3. Diagnose and resolve PLC and robot control issues
  4. Maintain production quality and respond to machine alarms
  5. Document work using maintenance software (SAP)
  6. Follow safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout and cleanroom protocols
Requirements:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent
  2. 3+ years in equipment maintenance or automation
  3. Experience with PLCs, pneumatics, and electrical controls
  4. Ability to lift 40 lbs and work on your feet for long periods
Preferred:
  1. SAP and Microsoft Office experience
  2. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing
