Job Description
- Process Analysis: Assess current production workflows to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvements.
- System Design: Develop, implement, and optimize automated systems to enhance productivity and reduce manual processes.
- Collaboration: Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate automation technologies, including robotics and software solutions, into existing operations.
- Feasibility Studies: Conduct cost-benefit analyses and feasibility assessments for potential automation projects.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and evaluate the performance of automated systems, making necessary adjustments to maintain optimal operation.
- Training and Support: Provide training and ongoing support to staff on new automation technologies and processes.
- Industry Trends: Stay updated on advancements in automation, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.
- Dashboard Development: Design and maintain dynamic dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and track progress.
- Trend Identification: Analyze production data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Strategic Implementation: Work closely with engineering and operations teams to implement data-driven solutions for process optimization.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and executing automation opportunities.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven track record in industrial automation and transitioning manual processes to automated systems.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of automation technologies, including PLCs, robotics, and process control systems.
- Proficiency in engineering software (e.g., CAD, simulation tools).
- Six Sigma Certification is a plus.
