Target Pay Range: $30.00 - $33.50/hour ($60K-$70K/year equivalent)

Job Summary:
Our client, a leading manufacturer of medical-grade instruments, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a contract basis with the potential to transition to a permanent role. This role is ideal for a motivated recent graduate with hands-on production or manufacturing floor experience (internship or co-op is okay). The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with the Manager of Facilities & Maintenance Engineering, focusing on tooling and fixture design, engineering change notices (ECNs), process improvements, and ongoing improvement projects.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with the Manager of Facilities & Maintenance Engineering and Maintenance Team.
- Design and develop tooling and fixtures to support manufacturing operations.
- Implement and manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Identify and drive process improvement projects to enhance production efficiency and safety.
- Spend significant time on the manufacturing floor to troubleshoot, assess, and optimize processes.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including wearing steel-toe shoes on the production floor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience working in a production or manufacturing environment (internships or co-ops are acceptable).
- Comfortable working on the manufacturing floor and engaging with maintenance and production teams.
- Basic knowledge of tooling and fixture design.
- Familiarity with ECNs and process improvement principles is a plus.
- Steel-toe-shoes are required when working on the production floor.
