Job Description

Title: Associate Field Service Engineer 
Location: Aurora, IL 
Travel Requirement: up to $75% - 90% 
Target Pay Rate: $50K-60K plus travel pay 



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Discuss project field scope and schedule with Field/Project Manager
  • Perform and/or direct others in field equipment startup and commissioning
  • Test commercial furnace firing conditions
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment in the field to meet project deliverables
  • Conduct site entrance and exit meetings with the customer and communicate daily on project status with the site contact
  • Contribute to “lessons learned”/”incident reports” documenting concerns encountered during field activity
  • Maintain awareness of technical developments in assigned areas
  • Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, affirmative action, equal opportunity policies, safety plans, and assigned goals
  • Perform job in a safe and responsible manner; abide by laws, codes, and site-specific work rules; strive to delight the client with performance and results


Requirements:
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • 3-5 years of experience in maintenance, operations, construction, or process industries (or equivalent experience)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Significant travel is required (90%) and may require extended periods of two weeks in the field.
  • Computer software skills required
