Assembler
Job Description
Responsible for assembling, installing, and testing parts or products following instructions, drawings, and quality standards.
- Read work orders and follow instructions (written, verbal, or visual).
- Align and position parts using tools like jigs or fixtures.
- Join parts by crimping, screwing, bolting, soldering, or gluing.
- Mount components onto boards, units, or into racks and cabinets.
- Attach small hardware (e.g., knobs, clamps, switches).
- Perform tasks like potting, sanding, cleaning, and bonding parts.
- Operate machines to shape or assemble components.
- Conduct basic inspections and functional tests during assembly.
- Set up workstations with correct parts and documentation.
- Handle and install electrical components properly.
- Trim or adjust parts to meet electrical or size specs.
- Assist with repairs and troubleshooting.
- Report any issues to team leads or supervisors.
- Perform basic maintenance on assembly equipment.
- Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical assembly.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Able to work with small parts and tools.
