Architectural Project Manager- Healthcare (REMOTE)
Job Description
- Strategic Leadership
- Develop and execute the strategic plan for Guidon Design’s healthcare practice, ensuring alignment with the firm's overarching goals.
- Analyze market trends to position the company as a leader in healthcare design and engineering.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to establish and achieve annual growth targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Business Development, Client Engagement, and Thought Leadership
- Cultivate and sustain relationships with healthcare clients, including hospitals, healthcare systems, and government entities such as the VA and DoD.
- Identify new project opportunities and lead pursuit efforts, including proposal development and presentations.
- Partner with marketing and sales teams to create targeted campaigns and thought leadership materials.
- Represent Guidon at industry events through white papers, presentations, and conferences.
- Project Leadership
- Oversee complex healthcare projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
- Provide technical expertise, conduct design reviews, and perform risk assessments.
- Ensure projects comply with industry regulations and sustainability standards.
- Team Management and Mentorship
- Recruit, develop, and retain top talent within the healthcare practice.
- Identify and mentor subject matter experts as future practice leaders.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration among architecture, engineering, and sustainability teams.
- Operations and Financial Management
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation to achieve financial objectives.
- Leverage EOS tools such as Rocks and Scorecards to align team performance with company goals.
- Drive operational efficiency and implement process improvements across the healthcare practice.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Professional registration required.
- 15+ years of experience in healthcare architecture or engineering, including leadership and project management roles.
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare facility design, including applicable codes, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Demonstrated success in business development with a proven ability to secure healthcare projects.
- Experience managing and leading multi-disciplinary teams in a collaborative setting.
- Familiarity with sustainability practices; LEED or WELL certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of VA and DoD healthcare projects or experience with government contracts is highly preferred.
- ACHA Board Certified Healthcare Architect designation is strongly preferred.
