Applications Engineer
Job Description
- Coordinate with sales, production, and engineering professionally.
- Keep customers updated on project status and any arising issues during production.
- Cultivate relationships with key vendors like Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB, and Eaton.
- Provide accurate project quotes promptly.
- Quickly interpret municipal specifications and quote panels for various electrical components.
- Collaborate with inside sales on project requirements.
- Engage with key customers to quote custom electrical panels and modify designs as needed.
- Work with production to adhere to timelines and adapt designs based on supply chain challenges.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience with industrial controls experience.
- Proficiency in EPLan engineering software for:
- Generating 2D/3D electrical drawings and layouts.
- Creating Bills of Materials.
- Familiarity with product lines to recommend suitable products, design around project specifications, and adapt to supply chain challenges.
- Understanding of electrical engineering design principles like wire sizing breaker/fuse sizing and component spacing/wire bending.
- Provide support to customers and sales team as required.
- Organized with keen attention to detail.
