Job Description

Sterling Engineering has partnered with a company north of Elgin that is a growing manufacturer of airflow machinery on bringing in an Applications Engineer to be a "swiss-army knife" on the engineering team. This is a good role to get a blend of mechanical engineering, and customer collaboration project experience.

Location: Carpentersville, IL (Will Eventually Allow Hybrid Setting)
$$: 75-82k
Title: Applications Engineer (blend of mechanical engineering and customer interfacing)
Industry: Machinery Manufacturing

Overview:

  • Design and develop product from specifications and related components indicating ideas for new or modified products.
  • Help prepare drawings and specifications utilizing SolidWorks or AutoCad
  • Generate engineering reports to present to key customers
  • Advise and assist in Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering activities including, cost estimating, production, and quality problems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors in Engineering related field (preferably in line with mechanical)
  • Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCad
  • At least 1 year of full time engineering experience
  • Must be able to commute (company will not relocate candidates at this time)
