Production Planning Administrator
Job Description
Shift: 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $20.50/hour
- Act as the POC for Leads, Operations, Stock Room, and Receiving, maintaining a visible presence on the production floor.
- Monitor and ensure continuous coverage of primary and secondary lines, identifying and resolving material or workflow disruptions.
- Release, print, and post work orders.
- Manage WIP (Work-In-Progress) flow and partner with various levels of staff to maintain steady operations.
- Coordinate with the Stockroom to ensure timely delivery of received, inspected, and high-priority materials to the floor.
- Respond to inquiries from the floor and stockroom regarding part availability, ETA, and quantities.
- Own and report on the Inventory Section during MDI Board reviews, tracking daily inventory performance, trends, and root causes of variances.
- Validate finished goods accuracy, in-process unit status, and WIP/floor stock counts; escalate discrepancies as needed.
- Investigate and resolve material movement issues, cycle count queues, and engineering change impacts on production.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning, materials coordination, or manufacturing operations preferred.
- ERP system experience required (Bond5, SAP, or similar systems).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; inquisitive nature with a focus on root cause investigation.
- Technologically and mathematically inclined; proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with production, inventory, and engineering teams.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Education in Supply Chain, Operations, or related field preferred but not required.
