Job Description:
As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee financial accounting functions, manage monthly close processes, and report directly to the CFO and Controller. Your role includes leading a team and ensuring accurate financial reporting and balance sheet reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management: Lead a team of 3, including 2 Accounts Payable Specialists and 1 Accounts Receivable Specialist.
Monthly Financials: Prepare monthly journal entries, closing activities, and balance sheet reconciliations for Business Unit General Ledgers.
Variance Analysis: Prepare variance analysis reports to budget and prior periods.
Cash Management: Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cash reconciliations.
Payroll: Assist in payroll reconciliation during the closing period.
Audit Support: Prepare audit workpapers and documentation as required.
Intercompany Reconciliation: Oversee intercompany reconciliation and transactions.
Collaboration: Interface with various departments including engineering, production, sales, marketing, and IT.
Accounting Policies: Evaluate and develop accounting policies as needed.
Fixed Assets: Manage fixed assets and depreciation calculations.
Chart of Accounts: Maintain the corporate chart of accounts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
7 years of accounting experience.
2 years of supervisory experience.
Manufacturing and ERP system experience.
Proficiency in MS Office software.
Strong cost systems background and analytical skills.
Ability to lift and move up to 25 pounds.
Extended periods of sitting.
Operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
Occasional exposure to loud sounds.
Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts on the production floor.
