Job Description
- Oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintaining the highest standards of financial management.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize the organization’s financial health.
- Prepare and present accurate, timely financial reports to senior leadership and stakeholders, providing insights into the organization’s financial performance.
- Lead budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Manage cash flow, investments, and financial risk, advising the leadership team on financial decisions.
- Supervise the finance and accounting departments, providing leadership, mentorship, and support to the team.
- Oversee audit processes and ensure proper controls are in place to safeguard the organization’s assets.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve financial efficiency.
- Establish and maintain relationships with external partners, including auditors, regulatory agencies, and financial institutions.
- Serve as the primary financial advisor to the leadership team, helping to guide strategic initiatives and decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) designation preferred.
- Proven experience in government or university financial management.
