Account Specialist
Job Description
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries via phone, email, and online portals
- Manage and track customer orders from entry through delivery
- Communicate effectively with internal departments including production, logistics, and sales to ensure timely fulfillment
- Resolve order discrepancies, shipping issues, and other service challenges
- Maintain accurate customer records in ERP/CRM systems
- Provide pricing, product, and availability information to customers
- Collaborate with outside sales reps to support client relationships
- Handle returns, credits, and warranty claims efficiently and professionally
- Continuously look for process improvement opportunities within the customer service function
- 2+ years of experience in a customer service or account management role, preferably in a manufacturing or distribution setting
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
