Title: Sanitation Manager
Location: Brockton, MA
Shift & Hours: 3rd Shift - Monday through Friday from 6pm to 4am
Pay Rate: $95-$110k plus a 10% bonus

The Sanitation Manager is responsible for ensuring the manufacturing plant is cleaned according to Company and USDA requirements, as well as ensuring that employees are properly trained and the Master Sanitation Schedule is followed.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, monitor, direct, and continuously improve all aspects of the sanitation function.
- Lead the sanitation team to meet cleaning responsibilities within established time schedules.
- Ensure proper sanitation procedures, safety practices, lockout-tagout, emergency evacuation, and GMP and HACCP programs are followed, ensuring compliance with company and USDA standards.
- Manage chemical usage and supply control programs to optimize inventories, operations, and costs.
- Conduct full sanitation audits related to procedures, quality, safety, and tear downs to ensure compliance.
- Monitor and schedule routine maintenance and repair for equipment to maintain GMP compliance.
- Review employee performance, provide coaching and counseling, and mentor staff to improve performance.
- Ensure the workforce is adequately trained in the safe and effective use of sanitation equipment and supplies.
- Maintain acceptable Environmental Microbiological test results within company guidelines.
- Ensure the availability of resources to achieve food safety and quality objectives and support the ongoing development and improvement of the BRC system.
- Uphold, follow, and maintain the requirements of the BRC Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.
- Ensure employees are properly equipped with the correct PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
- Ensure all equipment is properly set up and tested prior to startup for the following day.
- Perform other duties as assigned or volunteered for.
Skills & Qualifications Required:
- Experience working in USDA/FDA-regulated facilities.
- Knowledge and experience with HACCP, SSOP, and GMP processes.
- Computer skills, with working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and email systems.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and generate enthusiasm within a team.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Ability to assess that equipment is sanitized fully and properly.
Preferred:
- College degree or 7+ years of experience in the manufacturing industry (preferably food industry).
- 5+ years of supervisory/management experience in a similar role.
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to bend, squat, and work in various physical positions.
- Ability to push or pull heavy loads and equipment.
Work Environment:
- Ability to work in cold refrigerated and frozen environments.
- Ability to work in non-refrigerated environments.
- Ability to work with chemicals, cleaning agents, and large amounts of water.
Food Safety/Quality:
- Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance.
- Report any risks or any evidence of unsafe or out-of-specification products, equipment, packaging, or raw materials to management.
