Pay Rate: $32/hr plus $0.90 shift differential

Job Summary:

Job Duties:
  • Proactively maintain and repair production equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and minimal downtime.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electrical and mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drives, and PLCs.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure equipment longevity and compliance with regulations.
  • Fabricate repair parts using machining techniques to meet precise specifications.
  • Collaborate with production workers, providing technical guidance and support to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Continuously enhance technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and updating certifications.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Contribute to team efforts by taking on additional duties as assigned and needed.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Possession of a Stationary Engineer's License, preferably from the City of Chicago.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
  • Proficient in electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, AC drives, and PLCs.
  • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and USDA regulations (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff.
  • Bilingual proficiency (preferred).
  • Valid state driver's license.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
