Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a utilities background to oversee and manage a variety of complex construction projects at multiple local sites for a global pharmaceutical manufacturing company. This person will be responsible for ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The Construction Manager will work closely with various stakeholders to achieve project goals.
Job Duties:
- Responsible for timely and cost-effective field coordination of construction projects.
- Act as the main technical adviser on-site, ensuring accuracy in plans, drawings, and material specifications.
- Manage, monitor, and interpret contract design documents; liaise with clients, consultants, and various stakeholders.
- Manage and oversee projects related to replacing chillers, air handlers, and ionizers.
- Supervise the installation of tap boxes for future generators.
- Oversee window replacement projects, ensuring they meet energy efficiency and safety standards.
- Coordinate the upgrading of indoor exhaust systems to improve air quality and ventilation.
- Manage the construction and maintenance of indoor trench systems, ensuring proper drainage and safety.
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Prepare and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and financial objectives are met.
- Approve and track expenditures, and ensure all financial records are accurately maintained.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in construction management.
- Proven experience managing projects involving HVAC systems, electrical installations, window replacements, and ventilation upgrades.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
