Financial Controller
Job Description
- Perform month end accounting closing tasks and reconciliation
- Budget and forecasting duties for assigned area
- Prepare, present and analyze financials
- Produce timely and accurate financial statements
- Review and analyze open receivables for assigned area
- Accounts payable and receivable processing
- Assist operations in preparation of financials as needed
- Monthly, quarterly and annual duties such as physical inventory, backlog, revenue reporting, etc.
- Process and manage customer invoicing for assigned area
- Capital expenditures, inventory control and product costing
- Ensure compliance with SOX
- Supervise staff members (2)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Master’s degree preferred
- CPA pr CMA certification preferred or ability to obtain certification within one year in the role
- 5+ years of experience in an accounting leadership role
- Cost accounting knowledge and experience
- Ability to work with internal and external customers at all levels
- Experience presenting accounting and financial information
- Expert knowledge and experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems
- Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Strong working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Experience and ability to lead and direct the work of others
- Experience working in a manufacturing, accounting environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail
