Job Summary:

Your expertise and skills will be crucial in conducting preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and executing timely repairs to minimize downtime and enhance the overall productivity and safety of the manufacturing process. Job Duties:
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, lubrications, and maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure their optimal functioning.
  • Diagnose and Troubleshoot: Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues with production machinery, such as conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, and refrigeration systems. Utilize your expertise to troubleshoot problems efficiently.
  • Repair and Replace: Execute timely and effective repairs or replacements of faulty components or equipment parts to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
  • Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to address critical issues and minimize production interruptions.
  • Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment condition, and repair history using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Ensure Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks. Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to address them.
  • Collaborate with Production Team: Collaborate with the production team to schedule maintenance activities and coordinate with them to minimize disruptions to production schedules.
  • Monitor Spare Parts Inventory: Keep track of spare parts inventory and work with the procurement team to ensure the availability of necessary components.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, reduce maintenance costs, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Comply with all GMP standards to maintain the highest level of food safety and quality.

Qualifications:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a food manufacturing or related industry is highly desirable.
  • Mechanical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of production machinery and equipment.
  • Electrical Knowledge: Basic electrical knowledge and experience working with electrical systems, motors, and controls.
  • Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose issues and find effective solutions promptly.
  • Safety Conscious: Deep commitment to safety protocols and a thorough understanding of safety regulations in an industrial setting.
