- Perform Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections, lubrications, and maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure their optimal functioning.
- Diagnose and Troubleshoot: Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and technical issues with production machinery, such as conveyors, mixers, packaging equipment, and refrigeration systems. Utilize your expertise to troubleshoot problems efficiently.
- Repair and Replace: Execute timely and effective repairs or replacements of faulty components or equipment parts to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests to address critical issues and minimize production interruptions.
- Maintain Records: Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment condition, and repair history using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Ensure Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks. Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to address them.
- Collaborate with Production Team: Collaborate with the production team to schedule maintenance activities and coordinate with them to minimize disruptions to production schedules.
- Monitor Spare Parts Inventory: Keep track of spare parts inventory and work with the procurement team to ensure the availability of necessary components.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance, reduce maintenance costs, and improve overall efficiency.
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP): Comply with all GMP standards to maintain the highest level of food safety and quality.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical or vocational training in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as a maintenance technician in a food manufacturing or related industry is highly desirable.
- Mechanical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a wide range of production machinery and equipment.
- Electrical Knowledge: Basic electrical knowledge and experience working with electrical systems, motors, and controls.
- Analytical Thinking: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose issues and find effective solutions promptly.
