Service Technician
Looking for Candidates Local to Upper Northern Sates - MN, ND, SD, MT, WY
Direct Hire
$30-$45/hour - traveling time is always paid X1.5 (Expected to W2 over 100k/year)
50% Regional Travel - No weekends - Work remotely from home when not traveling
Company provides:
- $250/month car allowance (whether renting or not)
- Paid mileage if not renting
- $65/day per diem for food when traveling
- Company issued credit card for gas and all other travel-related expenses

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electronic and mechanical equipment such as metal detectors, x-ray machines and checkweighers
- Work on a wide variety of equipment to set-up and adjust mechanical and electrical equipment based on customer’s application.
- Work with design engineers to solve application problems and adapt equipment to these situations, if possible.
- Perform in-house repairs of customers' equipment.
- Ability to fill out service report forms and expense reports in a timely manner.
- Up to 60% travel during the week
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawing and electrical schematics
- Competent understanding of electrical wiring and instrumentation
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Must be highly proficient in electronic and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Must be able to work independently
- Computer application knowledge, including internet applications and Microsoft office is required and a knowledge of a recognized drafting package (e.g. AutoCAD) will be a plus.
- PLC experience is a plus
- A two-year associate technical engineering degree or a BSEE is a plus
- Experience with industrial metal detection systems, checkweighers systems and X-Ray systems is a plus.
