CNC Machine Setup & Operate
Job Description
- Performs operations to maintain, set up and operate any and all single and/or cell formation of CNC machine
- Utilize all forms of personal protective equipment (PPE).
❖ Works from engineering drawings, sketches, set up sheets, program printouts, specifications and instruction
manuals.
❖ Determines which procedures or methods to follow; selects work holding, boring jaws if necessary, tooling, speeds,
feed rates and settings for new and unusual work and for standardized work when not prescribed and writes
programs when required.
❖ Performs first article and in-process inspections.
❖ Documents results as appropriate on checklists, inspection reports and/or shop travelers.
❖ May instruct, train and assists team members assigned to operate CNC machine tools and check the work
produced.
❖ Uses advanced shop mathematics and a variety of measuring tools and gages which require interpretation in various
applications.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience Setting up and Operating CNC Machines
- ❖ High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
❖ Must demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
❖ Ability to work effectively with others and be a participative team player.
❖ Required the use of general mathematics.
