Title: Payroll Specialist
Location: Chicago, IL
Work Environment: Onsite during training, then hybrid schedule (2 days remote)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our premiere client in Chicago. The position will be onsite in the beginning for training, once up to speed it will be a hybrid schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Process payroll using ADP software for non-exempt hourly pay weekly for about 1200 employees
- Calculate and enter payroll data, including hours worked, deductions, and taxes
- Verify and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy
- Prepare monthly journal entries to record payroll transactions in General Ledger
- Audit approximately 1,200 time cards each week in labor reporting system – ADP’s eTime, and ensure accuracy and proper approvals have been made
- Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management
- Keep up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports as needed
- Maintain payroll records and files
- Assist with other HR-related tasks as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree with minimally 3+ years of Payroll experience
- Experience working with ADP Enterprise a plus
