Job Summary:
The Purchasing Specialist will work closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and team members to ensure that purchases are made in a timely and cost-effective manner, while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Job Duties:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing needs and requirements.
- Research and evaluate potential suppliers and vendors to ensure quality, price, and delivery meet company standards.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to obtain the best possible pricing and terms.
- Manage purchasing orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast demand to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and documents.
- Resolve any purchasing-related issues or discrepancies that may arise.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and changes that may affect purchasing decisions
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organizational and time management skills
