Job Description
Job Title: Design Technician
Job Summary:
The Drafter should have the ability to read and understand both client and CAD standards following them closely. The Drafter will work across all engineering disciplines utilizing their CAD knowledge and relying upon Coordinators, Engineers and Designers for guidance on industry knowledge.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Create existing conditions drawings from as-built, GIS, aerial imagery, field notes, and survey data
§ Add annotation and dimensions to plot plans, details, and schematics
§ Modify drawings as directed by Coordinator, Engineer or Designer
§ Review and incorporate client CAD standards into drawing package
§ Understand CAD file structure in order to make changes in base and sheet files
Required Qualifications:
§ 0-3 years of general basic CAD related experience or industry experience preferred
§ High School Diploma required
§ Must be able to travel to project locations with engineers to collect data and make sketches if required
