Overview: Sterling Engineering / Staffing is currently looking for a CNC Machinist for one of our clients in the Cleveland, OH area. Job Description:
Operates assigned CNC (Computer numerical control machinery) that utilizes preprogrammed computer software that dictates the movement of factory tools and machinery. This process is used to run many different types of machinery, including grinders, lathes, mills, and routers. This machinery cuts, drills, grinds, and shapes a variety of materials.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Machine steel parts and rail parts according to specifications
  • Use of Voortman/saw/drill
  • Read and interpret blueprints
  • Use digital calipers to ensure accuracy
  • Comply with all safety procedures
  • Operate overhead cranes

Education/Training:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • CNC multi-axis training and experience preferred

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Minimum 6 months of machine operator experience required
  • Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to read and write legibly and complete production reports with accuracy
  • Must be able to read and use a tape measure
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect rail parts using measuring devices
  •  Must be quality oriented and a team player
  • Must have complete understanding of safe work practices.
