Job Summary:
- As a Production Supervisor at our food manufacturing facility, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the daily production activities to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the production line. You will be responsible for leading a team of production workers, implementing production schedules, monitoring product quality, and adhering to food safety regulations. Job Duties:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production workers to ensure adherence to production schedules and achievement of production targets.
- Monitor production processes to maintain product quality standards and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Train, mentor, and provide feedback to production staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, maintenance, and logistics, to resolve production-related issues and optimize efficiency.
- Conduct regular inspections of production equipment and machinery to identify maintenance needs and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate production records and reports to track production metrics and performance against targets.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to streamline production processes, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
- Communicate effectively with management and production staff to convey production goals, priorities, and updates.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a food manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in food science, engineering, or related field preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of food manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality standards.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve performance targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make informed decisions under pressure.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and production management software.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekends as needed to support production operations.
