Design Engineer II
Job Description
- Create new and maintain existing detailed 2D or 3D drawings for complex projects using AutoCAD and/or Inventor
- Create Engineering Change Notices using Microsoft Excel
- Create and maintain Bill of Materials using LN MRP system
- Collaborate with others to establish timelines and budgets, as well as solve problems
- Ability to analyze data and situation and come up with creative solutions
- Working with external customers and internal management to meet deadlines and customer’s specifications
- Communicating with all levels of personnel in the plant, including spending time on the production floor to learn the products and the operation
- Report to plant Design Engineering Supervisor
Qualifications:
- An Associate’s degree or higher with 2-5+ years’ experience in a related field, or its equivalent in a combination of formal education and direct work experience
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software; ability to accurately design, CAD and check a project with minimal supervision
- Proficiency with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) MS Teams
- Strong math skills to include trigonometry and geometry
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and accurately under tight deadlines
