Job Description

Position:  Technical Writer (Pharmaceutical or cGMP)
Location:  North Chicago, IL  60064 onsite 5 days a week
Duration:  12-24 months
 
As a Technical Writer, you will play a crucial role in supporting Documentation in New Cosmetics Product line and Process development.   The ideal candidate will have a meticulous eye for detail and proficiency in both paper and electronic documentation formats.  Will have experience developing Batch Operating Procedures, protocols, Job Safety task management and a variety of documents related to pharmaceutical processes, quality control, and regulatory compliance. must have strong coordination skills to collaborate with SMEs.
 
  • Conduct comprehensive review of existing documentation.   Develop / Edit Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions: Create clear, concise, and accurate SOPs and work instructions related to processes used in a pharmaceutical Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) environment. These documents must adhere to industry standards, templates, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs): Work closely with SMEs, scientists, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather information and ensure accuracy in your documentation.
  • Create and Revise Documents: Prepare a wide range of documents, including:
  • Drive standardization of the documentation practices – identify non -conformance.
  • Clinical Study Reports: Detailed reports summarizing clinical trial results.
  • Regulatory Submissions: Documentation required for regulatory approvals.
  • Precautions for Medications: Safety information and precautions.
  • Reference Guides: Comprehensive guides for healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure Compliance: Your work will contribute to maintaining compliance with cGMP regulations and industry standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., life sciences, pharmacy, technical communication).
  • Prior experience as a technical writer in the cosmetics or within a highly regulated environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Batch Operating Procedures (BOPs), protocols, Job Safety Task Management (JSTms), and related documentation.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, cGMP) and quality standards in cosmetics manufacturing. 
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of cGMP regulations and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
