Job Summary:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you'll be at the heart of designing, manufacturing, deploying, and improving dry products packaging machines. We're looking for someone who loves using scientific engineering principles to come up with innovative solutions. From creating solid concepts to leading projects through manufacturing and field support, you'll play a crucial role in delivering top-notch quality to our customers.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Dive into machine requirements, design envelopes, and manufacturing processes to drive the development of packaging solutions.
Get creative and use scientific principles to solve packaging challenges with mathematically verified concepts.
Choose the best components for products, keeping in mind material properties, stress/strain, and vibration constraints.
Sprinkle your creativity on redesigning standard products to boost quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
Be the go-to person for clear communication on concepts, designs, and technical integration for manufacturing, sales, and service departments.
Team up with colleagues to tackle manufacturing, design, and quality issues, and contribute to technical writing and documentation.
Use your prioritization skills to juggle different tasks and ensure compliance with quality and safety regulations.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and one to three years of experience or equivalent.
Familiarity with industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to handle various variables.
Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and Vault or equivalent software.
Knowledge of Project Management Tools, ERP Systems, and Microsoft suite.
Bonus: Familiarity with sanitary design concepts for food production and packaging machines.
