Job Summary:
  • The Maintenance Supervisor oversees all maintenance department tasks, including scheduled and unscheduled work. They ensure efficient resource deployment, maintain records, and foster a customer-centric approach, collaborating closely with the Maintenance Planner/Scheduler.

Job Duties:
  • Generate and manage Maintenance shift schedule based on production schedules, inspections, and available resources
  • Handle and supervise contractor work
  • Maintain detailed records of repairs, rebuilds, and inspections
  • Train and mentor direct reports, fostering their development and optimizing performance
  • Utilize the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance assessment and analysis
  • Perform root cause analysis of machine downtime and conduct PM and work order audits
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, safety standards, and plant maintenance procedures
  • Stay updated on the latest manufacturing technologies to enhance plant performance 
  • Develop and enforce maintenance and safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
  • 4 years of maintenance supervisory experience 
  • Knowledge of equipment functions, operating procedures, and maintenance techniques
  • Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is preferred
  • Ability to interpret instructions, manuals, drawings, and specifications
  • Experience in a maintenance department, preferably in an automated food processing plant
