Sr. Engineering Technician (2nd Shift)
Job Description
- Assist in developing and improving assembly processes for new or modified products.
- Participate in creating assembly instructions and work procedures for production teams.
- Help identify opportunities for process optimization during new product introductions.
- Serve as the first point of escalation for assembly-related issues on the floor.
- Work closely with assemblers to diagnose problems and drive corrective actions.
- Collaborate with Materials, Quality, and Test Engineering departments to resolve production challenges.
- Monitor assembly quality and performance, ensuring products meet specifications and standards.
- Provide on-the-job training to assemblers as needed and support continuous improvement efforts.
- 2+ years of relevant experience with an Associate degree, or
- 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience without a degree
- Associate degree in a technical or manufacturing discipline preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively across departments.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Basic familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, etc.) for viewing and interpreting drawings.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve problems effectively on the production floor.
