Job Title: Sr. Operations Manager 
Location: Swedesboro, NJ 
Job Type: Full-time

Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Operations Manager to oversee the manufacturing activities and processes of our production and packing lines. This role requires 5-10 years of experience in the bakery, baked goods and/or bread (bread is highly preferred) space. 


Responsibilities:
  • Perform continuous improvement reviews to enhance production efficiency.
  • Collaborate with management and team to analyze production runs and recommend improvements.
  • Create and maintain production schedules, authorizing schedule changes and substituting materials as needed.
  • Incorporate new customer orders into the production process promptly.
  • Analyze and reduce scrap levels to meet efficiency targets.
  • Ensure proper functioning of mechanical equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal resources such as Human Resources, Quality, and Maintenance.
  • Authorize/manage ad hoc staffing as needed.
  • Review variance analyses and evaluate performance against standards and budget.
  • Analyze causes of variances and implement procedures to improve performance.
  • Ensure continuous readiness for Plant and food safety audits.
  • Conduct internal readiness audits to meet industry standards.
  • Foster cooperation and goal achievement among departmental staff.
  • Ensure consistent interpretation and application of policies and procedures.
  • Set standards for safety and ensure adherence to accident/loss prevention and security policies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5-7 years of manufacturing experience, including supervisory experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and SAP inventory applications.
  • Manufacturing experience in the baking industry preferred.
  • Experience in handling dough, sheeting, and freezer operations preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
