Location: Lenexa, KS
Salary: $115,000 - $140,000 (Experience-Dependent)

Job Description:
We're seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team in Lenexa, KS. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and enhancing robotic solutions. You'll be responsible for executing complex designs, adhering to regulatory requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Primary Job Duties:
Conceptualize and design robotic solutions and related systems.
Conduct complex station design, cycle time analysis, and FMEA.
Ensure that designs are functional, robust, and cost-effective.
Innovate and incorporate prior designs and regulatory requirements.
Research and specify materials and purchased components.
Create detailed designs, assembly drawings, and bill of materials.
Lead internal and customer design reviews.
Prepare pneumatic and timing diagrams and select appropriate sensors.
Collaborate with suppliers to find economical solutions to design issues.
Work within project schedules and budgets.
Problem-solve design or detail issues and update documentation.
Communicate ideas effectively in verbal and written forms.
Mentor and guide Level I and II Mechanical Engineers.
Adhere to ISO 9001 certification requirements.

Qualifications:
Education: Post-secondary degree in mechanical engineering, technology, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Five (5) years of automation experience.
Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD, 3D Solid Works, or similar CAD systems.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in computer software (Windows, Excel, Word, MS Outlook, Adobe, etc.).
Knowledge of robotics, synchronous, and a-synchronous systems is a plus.
Hands-on and deadline-oriented.

Physical Demands:
Ability to stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend as required.
Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10 pounds of force frequently.
Normal visual acuity and hearing ability for reading instructions and verbal communication.
Ability to work in an office environment with occasional exposure to noise and physical hazards on the manufacturing floor.
Capable of wearing appropriate related PPE for extended periods.
